Using the gifts God has given us to do the work God is calling us to do
All that we have and all that we are is a gift from God. Discerning and carrying out God's purpose is the reason we were created. The gifts we have been given - time, talent, and money - are our primary means to carry out that purpose.
The Parish's most important mission is to bring people into a closer relationship with God. Worship, education and fellowship at Christ Church are not simply social functions - they are fundamental aspects of our Godly relationship. And because God has been generous to us, we must joyfully respond with our own generosity of time, talent and money.
A contribution to Christ Church is not just another charitable donation. Giving of our personal resources in order to carry out God’s purpose in the world is a significant spiritual act. Stewardship
Nearly 90% of the yearly operating budget of the Parish comes directly from your contributions.
Our operating budget includes most of the expenses for worship, outreach, Christian education and youth fellowship, as well as building, maintenance and administrative costs. Your pledge to the Stewardship campaign is the primary source for keeping our ministries alive and well.
Please prayerfully consider filling out a pledge form. Your completed pledge form ensures our ability to plan for the coming year and entitles you to receive both periodic giving statements and a yearly summary of all of your tax-deductible giving.
Endowments
Your contribution to one of our endowments (both very conservative investment funds) will help ensure the long-term financial viability of the Parish. To make a contribution, please contact the Parish office.
Proceeds from the Restricted Endowment are used solely to supplement the funding of our children and youth ministries.
Proceeds from the Unrestricted Endowment are used at the direction of the Vestry.
Estate Planning & Memorial Gifts
It is appropriate to keep Christ Church in mind when completing your estate planning.
Many Parishioners generously choose to include a bequest to Christ Church as part of their estate. This is an important way to maintain a connection to your Parish family and ensure your place in our history.
