Julie Mankin is a Midwest, recovering Catholic, now Lutheran, farmer’s daughter from Carroll, a small town in Iowa. She moved to Oregon after marrying her Lutheran high school sweetheart, Scott, in 1993. Together they have three children; Chloe (21), Morgan (18) and Calvin (13). Julie graduated from Iowa State University with a double major in Communications and Marketing and a minor in Sociology.
Her career highlights include many Lutheran organizations ranging from small to large churches, the ELCA Oregon Synod, and Portland Lutheran School. She also owns her own consulting business for the last 10 years providing websites, printed materials, and social media management.
She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the West Linn Library Foundation and volunteers on the Art Committee for the art gallery, “Creative Spirits” at West Linn Lutheran Church, where she is a member.
