Pastoral Care

The Pastoral Care group of ministries delivers Pastoral Care services to the parish. This includes helping to coordinate such as Holiday Outreach, as well as taking personal, individual care of those who are isolated or in crisis.

Many of our parishioners provide volunteer Pastoral Care ministry to our parish. Many more actively pray for the intentions of the congregation.

Pastoral Care Ministries include:

Angels on Wheels – Parish members who provided a week’s worth of meals to those undergoing surgery or other short-term medical situations.  They prepare hundred of meals paying careful attention to recipients’ dietary needs.  They can always use additional volunteers.

Prayer Chain –  provides 48-hour intensive prayer for those in crisis.

Health and Wellness – Provides Blood Pressure readings monthly and health education. Under the direction of Tamara Brockett, Parish Nurse.

Prayer Shawl Knitting – Creates shawls for parishioners in crisis, to be delivered by Eucharistic Visitors and the Clergy.

Visiting Eucharistic Ministers – Bring communion to those who are unable to attend Sunday Service.

Prayer List – Our parish prays actively for the intentions of all who ask. A current list is printed in the Sunday service bulletin.
