Kristina Peterson – Interim Youth Director

Hi! My name is Kristina Peterson and I am the new Interim Youth Director here at Christ Church. I recently graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies and minors in Biology and Special Education. I am a Portland, Oregon native and my parents and I have been attending Christ Church since they were married here in 1993. You may have seen me throughout the years helping with Christmas and Easter decorating or attending Sunday services in the front pew! I have served as a Sunday school teacher to the preschoolers here at church as well as participating and being a leader for the Teens Encounter Christ weekend. I have also served as a cabin leader during Episcopal week at Suttle Lake camp, and recently a leader in the art room for Vacation Bible School, and a chaperone for the youth mission trip to Houston, Texas.

Some fun facts about me are that I have three black belts in Tae-Kwon-Do, a betta fish named Henry, and an Alaskan Malamute named Renata. I love anything ocean and marine biology related and I am extremely passionate about the environment and the importance of environmental education. I am so excited to be serving in this position and getting to know the youth through The Well, 30 Good Minutes, and other special events and outreach opportunities. If you have any questions or want to get to know me better please don’t be shy and introduce yourself!
