Carol moved to Lake Oswego in 2008 after retiring from 17 years as Rector of St George’s Church in Dayton, Ohio. She and husband Tom grew up in El Paso, Texas; graduated from the U. of Texas in Austin; and then lived in Corning, New York for 27 years. Carol taught high school English and social studies and worked at The Corning Museum of Glass before heading off to Bexley Hall Seminary and ordination to the priesthood in 1984. She and Tom are enjoying retirement life in Oregon: living near their children and grandchildren, taking advantage of Portland’s wonderful arts scene, and pursuing their travel bucket-list. Carol’s special passion is quilting. In addition to creating traditional pieced and art quilts, she takes special pleasure in making “Quilts of Valor” for wounded U.S.
