Sunday School

Sunday School
We offer Sunday School to kids of all grades and invite your kids into a community of learning and friendship.  About our programs:

Nursery
The parish nursery is a loving and safe place for the littlest member of our community.  We staff a paid nursery supervisor who has been referenced and background checked.  Her weekly presence brings consistency to the children’s experience and comfort.  We add an additional adult or teenage babysitter to maintain safe ratios.  The Nursery is open during the 10 am Sunday services.

Pre-School
Our pre-school class welcomes children 3-4 years old and potty trained.  Our 4 teams of teachers lead delightful lessons each week using the curriculum “Growing in Grace and Gratitude.”   We foster a loving community among the children and their families and send each child out knowing they are loved by God and their parish family.  The pre-school class runs the full duration of the 10 am service.

Elementary
We offer a blended experience for kids from Kindergarten through grade 5 by inviting them into the rich traditions of the Episcopal liturgy followed by a lively, hands-on experience in the classroom.   Kids attend the first portion of the service with their family which includes the readings and communion.
After our traditional moment of “stump the priest”, which is the posing of a children’s question, we leave the service for our classroom.  The remaining congregation hears the homily and enjoys coffee hour or an adult education offering.

Middle/High School
“The Sacred Donut” is a 30-minute segment that follows the 10 am service in which students explore their week past and their week ahead.  Thought-provoking questions, personal sharing when comfortable, and games are what help us to connect to each other, to God, and to the world.  All this, while consuming a donut or two.   The Sacred Donut breaks for the summer and returns in the Fall.
