Parish Life

Dinner for Eight
Dinner for Eight organizes groups of Parishioners that meet for dinner on their own schedule at one of their own
homes. The group may be more or less than eight and is open to those single or married.

First Friday
First Friday gathers for food, fun, and fellowship on the first Friday night of every month. This is a casual social event
held at a Parishioners home centered around a bowl of delicious soup (or salad in the summer) and dessert. It is
primarily an adult function.

Hip and Holy: 20’s 30’s and 40 somethings

Companion Groups
Companion Groups exist at Christ Church as a way to foster communication between the lay leadership (the Vestry) of
the church and the congregation. Each of the 12 vestrypersons acts as a personal representative to the members of his
or her group, contacting them three to four times in the year. These contacts provide information to members and
serve as a way for people in the parish to provide feedback to the Vestry on areas of interest to the members.
