Sunday School

Sunday School
We offer weekly Sunday School classes for children from preschool through grade 5 during the regular school year.  Kids begin in their classroom at 10:00 am for a lively lesson staffed by a faithful group of adult volunteers and join the parish community at the time of communion.

Beyond our Sunday School curriculum, our year is filled with opportunities for kids to reach out and care for others. Throughout our Sundays together, children engage in hands-on service projects such as:

  • Partnering with Project Linus to create no-sew blankets for children in crisis during the six Sundays of Lent.
  • Preparing friendship bags for children who come to Potluck in the Park on Sundays for a hot meal.
  • Assembling winter holiday care kits and winter survival kits, also in partnership with Potluck in the Park, to support vulnerable individuals living on the streets of Portland.
Middle and High School
Sacred Service, and Sacred Story are the three core elements of our youth program.

Sacred Service puts our faith into action. Through service projects, we engage with the world around us, offering help where it’s needed and learning what it means to be Christ’s hands and feet in our communities.

Sacred Story helps us explore the deeper meaning of our faith. We dive into scripture to discover God’s hope for us, and reflect on how those ancient words still speak truth and guidance into our lives today.

Together, these sacred practices shape a space where middle and high school students can grow spiritually, serve others, and belong to a community grounded in love.  Reach out to Susie at scoffman@ccparish.org for dates and times of events.
